Why Religion Matters

In this video, I talk about why I disagree with the New Atheist Movement’s conclusions about religion, and why it is important for us to appreciate the concept of religious truth- and respect the complex relationship humans have had with religion, and religious contributions more broadly. I also question what the consequences of a decline in religious observance might mean for the Western world, and encourage an open-mind and healthy scepticism in how we engage with religious traditions.
